![]() Because of the inclines and declines, walking poles may be helpful for this walk. For those who live closer to this beautiful area, there is a section of the Finger Lakes Trail (FLT) just beyond the trail area I explored according to the signage at the parking area. Once I left the parking area, the only sounds were of the water and cicadas. I would love to visit it again in the fall when it is not so hot and muggy. This trail provided a variety of views and I really enjoyed it. I would not want to attempt this if the trails were slippery and muddy. My route was 3.3 miles of what seemed mostly uphill walking with many areas that had steep drop offs. I would allow 2 hours or more to explore the East Rim Trail that took me up stream and the Blue Trail that connected me to the West Rim Trail that brought me back down the other side of the ravine back to the parking area. Wes ley stayed home because of the anticipated heat and miles I was planning for the day.
